news & site updates

Just a quick update, but one guaranteed to make you LOL. MTV.com posted an article this morning on the new movie Whip It [not at all relevant to RSL, but okay!], which suggesting ways in which teenagers across the land can rebel against their parents. In any case, one of their suggestions was:
embrace your newfound vampirism
You got yourself a part time job because your dad told you to learn the value of a dollar, just like Jeremy Capello (Robert Sean Leonard) in My Best Friend Is a Vampire. Then one day, you deliver groceries to some chick's house and she looks like a backup singer for Chaka Khan, but she's into you. You know what'll show your dad? Sleeping with her, finding out she's a vampire, and then deciding being a vampire is awesome. Hang out with other vampires, drink pig's blood, be a badass, and don't tell them what you're up to. You think those Twilight vampires are cool? Edward Cullen's got nothing on Robert Sean Leonard.
Trufax, MTV. Trufax. Read the whole article here. (I am also fond of the go public with the fact that you're a werewolf idea.)

It's been awhile, but as you can see, this site has a nice new layout. I like it! For the first time, um, ever. I'm taking this as a good sign, hopefully one that indicates frequent updates. Shocking, I know.
Speaking of updates, there have been quite a few around here. All of the pages have been reorganized and reformatted, in particular the film and television pages. The article archive is still horrendously out of date, but I'm working on it. (Repetitive coding is repetitive. And boring.) Everything should be a lot cleaner and easier to navigate now, though. I hope.
I must take a minute to thank the lovely and awesome soophelia, who has been a huge help in rounding up all the stuff I've missed lately - especially in regards to the gallery. Thank you so much, soophelia!
So please, have a look around, see what's new. And, as always, please let me know if anything is broken. :)
